Are there International customs charges?Updated 2 months ago

The shipping fee paid on our website represents a flat rate encompassing shipping and handling costs. However, it's essential to be aware that your country's authorities may impose additional duty taxes at their discretion. Unfortunately, these charges are unpredictable and fall outside of our control.

We dispatch international orders regularly, and occasionally, packages are held by the receiving government at their discretion. When shipping internationally, we do declare the supplements, and this declaration is affixed to the shipping label. The receiving government may detain packages temporarily to ensure that only permissible items cross their border and to assess any required import taxes or duties.

It's important to understand that we currently ship all packages using a DDU (delivery and duties unpaid) approach. This means that your package is typically delivered by the local mail carrier at the final destination, and you may need to retrieve the parcel directly from the postal facility. The assessment and collection of duties and taxes during this process may or may not be carried out by your mail carrier. We do not collect taxes and duties at the time of checkout, making you responsible for any such charges if they are imposed.

During the checkout process, international customers are notified of this potential scenario and must agree to these terms in order to proceed with their order. If you require more information or clarification on customs procedures, you may consider reaching out to your country's Customs department. They typically estimate a maximum holding period of up to 15 days.
